Embrace Your Purpose - Deepen Your Connections - Live Your Truth

“The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.”

Henry David Thoreau

One-third of men regularly feel lonely, left out, and unknown.

You can feel it, can't you? That deep yearning to live a life of deeper significance. We want to be better lovers, providers, and leaders. We want to be better men. The problem is we try to prove we are man enough all on our own. We struggle to reach out for support and mentorship from other men for fear of appearing weak.

You might be a man living a life of quiet desperation if...

  • You are sabotaged by the lie that you are not enough - not strong enough, smart enough, rich enough, fit enough, etc. AND you believe there isn't anything you can do about it. As a result, you drown in excuses,  and nothing happens.

  • You wallow in past mistakes.  Shame is your constant companion.  You live in fear that your past is going to be revealed to the world and the outcome will be devastating. You pull away and hide from others. You believe you are the only one struggling and would be judge harshly if anyone found out.

  • You are dissatisfied or bored even after having pursued a career with success and have financial stability.

  • You have fallen into the trap of imposter syndrome.  You doubt your own abilities and talents. You feel like a faker and are convinced that one day someone is going to figure out that you don't actually know what you are pretending to know. This doubt holds you back from achieving your full potential and you end up settling

  • You are drowning in numbing behaviors. Efforts to stop acting out feel futile.  It's a never-ending cycle of numbing with drugs or alcohol or porn or video games or food or work that only leads to further shame and disconnection.

  • You run from connection by burying your face in your electronic device. You avoid going home to be with your family (or use your family as an excuse for why you can't connect with others even though all you are doing is sitting in front of the television), spend excessive amounts of time at work because its the only place where you feel like you have any influence. You stop taking risks. You avoid vulnerability.

  • You long for a deeper spiritual connection with your Higher Power, your lover, your families, and other men who are on the spiritual path but can't seem to find others willing to be real, authentic, honest, and straight-forward with you. You feel hopeless that any kind of deeper, grounded, a connection is even possible.
